Lean Six Sigma Training facilitated by TMG, Inc.
White Belt – Lean Six Sigma 101: A 1-day course (often coupled with Daily Problem Solving) to introduce the student to the basics of Continuous Process Improvement, including Lean, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints. This course includes a number of interactive exercises and video clips to enhance the learning experience. The course prepares students to participate as a team member on 5S or Rapid Improvement Events (Kaizen).
Bronze Belt Training, Coaching & Certification: A 40-hour course focused on teaching the principles and tools of Continuous Process Improvement for all types of processes. This curriculum integrates the methodologies of Lean and Theory of Constraints and trains students to facilitate Rapid Improvement Events (Kaizen). Students will learn skills such as SIPOC, Value Stream Mapping & Analysis, 5S Workplace Organization, Visual Controls, Poke Yoke, Standard Work and many more. Upon course completion students will pass a 1-hour exam and facilitate 3 Rapid Improvement Events (with TMG coaching) to achieve certification.
Green Belt Training, Coaching and Certification: A nine-day course over 6 months focused on teaching the principles and tools of Continuous Process Improvement for all types of processes. This curriculum integrates the methodologies of Lean, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints using the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) structure. The curriculum is based on the American Society for Quality (ASQ) Body of Knowledge for Green Belt. Students will learn the tools used on more extensive DMAIC Projects such as Gauge R&R, Design of Experiments, Hypothesis Testing, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Statistical Process Control and many others. Students will complete a DMAIC Project for their organization during the six-month class with resulting actual financial benefits. Historically, return on training investment exceeds at least five times the costs. Upon course completion students will pass a 4-hour comprehensive exam and complete their DMAIC Project (with TMG coaching) to achieve certification. Students may then pursue additional certification via the American Society for Quality (www.ASQ.org).
Black Belt Training, Coaching and Certification: A five-week course taught over a six- month period focused on teaching the principles and tools of Continuous Process Improvement for all types of processes. This curriculum integrates the methodologies of Lean, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints using the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control (DMAIC) structure. This curriculum focuses on developing Black Belts as change agents that lead teams in executing complex improvement projects. Green Belt training and experience or previous experience in process engineering are preferred. Students will complete a DMAIC Project for their organization during the five-month class with resulting actual financial benefits.
Lean Six Sigma Champion: A two-day course is focused on preparing executives and managers to lead Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) initiatives in their organizations. The course familiarizes leaders with the principles and tools of Lean, Six Sigma and Theory of Constraints and the management of Rapid Improvement Events and DMAIC Projects. Leaders are taught strategies for CPI implementation, aligning initiatives with customer focus, change management, resource allocation, sustaining improved processes, return on investment and removing barriers to improvement.
