October 19, 2015 - October 23, 2015

AME Banner 2015

Since 2004, AME International veteran presenters TMG Inc., return to AME’s Cincinnati International Conference with two workshops on October 19, 2015.  The first workshop is titled “Building a Dream Team: Heartbeat Leaders First” where Founder and President, Joe Barto will award the coveted “I am a Lean Leader. My Team Plays to Win!” badges to those who pledge to lead the Lean Journey.   This workshop is the 75th Dream Team class and is consistently in high demand to show how without a stable and strong team no Lean Journey is sustainable. In this workshop, participants will learn how to align organizations and improve leader behaviors for greater top-line revenue and productivity, as well as decreased costs. They’ll learn to build and sustain top performance through creating a dream team of engaged, competent leaders who understand how to enhance team involvement in continuous improvement activities. Participants will leave with information and many tools about ways to apply the lean tool set to their leadership and team development, understand why it’s essential to focus on people first, and then process. TMG Founder and President, Joe Barto, will be joined by Andy Corbett, a TMG Program Manager.

The second workshop, titled “People-powered lean: getting the right people on the bus and keeping them” is a half-day workshop geared specifically around one of the biggest challenges in American manufacturing-Talent Acquisition and Retention and will teach attendees to deliver the high-performing new talent their organization needs to improve business performance; advance recruiting, hiring, training and retention practices; improve workforce productivity and reduce total cost of labor as they move from a passive to an active recruiting and retention model; meet challenges of controlling overtime costs and over-reliance on temporary workers. TMG program managers, Joe Barto and Tom Barto, will facilitate this workshop.
