DESCRIPTION

The lean journey to consistent near-perfect performance requires continuously aligning people to process, resulting in improved business performance. This  two-day workshop will teach attendees high performance team theory, share lessons learned and best practices and generate a rich learning environment to help any team improve their business performance—Heartbeat leaders first!

What do lean best practice companies have in common? “Heartbeat” leaders whose performance is the leading indicator of the core business metrics: team engagement, cost, schedule, quality and safety.

We call them different names like foreman, team leaders, planners, sales representatives and procurement specialists, but they’ve served the same key roles regardless of location—they get the job done! If they have a good day, everyone has a good day, and if they have a bad day then everyone has a bad day.

This workshop will shine a spotlight on how to identify, train, prepare and develop Heartbeat leaders so their first day is a performance day not a “let’s see how this goes day.“

An overwhelming amount of organizational effort is spent measuring, managing and controlling the business process often described in cost, schedule, quality and safety. These are all lagging performance indicators. The true leading indicator of future business performance is engaged teams, who understand the rules of the game, and have focused on those leaders who are the Heartbeat of the business.

TESTIMONIALS

“The Heartbeat Leaders First workshop was by far one of the best I have gone too in my career. The notion of “Mission First, People Always” most definitely highlights that while a company’s profitability is the end goal it cannot be accomplished without a dedicated & trusting workforce that are led by strong leaders.  The concepts on how trust, respect, loyalty, and dedication help to build tomorrow’s leaders is a powerful takeaway that many in today’s workforce have forgotten and Mr. Barto does an excellent job of reminding us who is really responsible for a business’s success. A must attend for everyone from middle managers to senior executives!”
Executive Sales Director

“The Heartbeat Leaders First” workshop was an incredible leadership growth experience. I would highly recommend this training to anyone in a positon of senior leadership that is looking to help build an engaged, dependable and sustainable corporate leadership culture.”
VP Operations

“Attending this workshop made me take a hard look at things going on around me and start thinking of some ways to make these things better. We have to do a better job of selecting leaders early and preparing them to be leaders.  We have to define the perfect day for our leaders and not interfere with it unnecessarily. The people I lead depend on me to give them a safe place to work and protect their livelihood.”
