The Association for Manufacturing Excellence announces registrations are now open for Association for Manufacturing Excellence Lean Champions workshop. In this workshop, you will learn about Continuous Improvement/Operational Excellence Champion roles and responsibilities, including a High Performance Team, Lean, and Six Sigma overview, which include five principles, seven wastes, lean tools, the fundamentals of Theory of Constraints and Six Sigma.

Joe Barto is the Founder and President of TMG, Inc. and an expert in building and maintaining High Performance Teams including: Leader Identification, Training, and Development; Talent Acquisition and Retention Systems, Workforce Risk Analysis, and Lean Six Sigma. Doug Smith
currently leads TMG’s efforts in Lean and Six Sigma training and development. As the lead Master Black Belt and Lean Sensei, he works with clients to develop Continuous Process Improvement strategies to apply the principles and tools of Lean Six Sigma to improve bottom line performance.Mr. Smith retired as the Director of Quality Assurance at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY). Mr. Smith led the Shipyard’s 550 military and civilian Quality professionals that provide services to and oversee the work performed by the shipyards 10,000 employees. Mr. Smith previously held the position of Director of Process Improvement.
