On June 13th and 14th TMG and AME conducted a 2 day Lean Champions Workshop hosted by the Newport News Shipbuilding. During the 2 days the group learned about continuous improvement and operational excellence principles and the roles and responsibilities of lean champions. We focused on high performance teams, lean, and six sigma for senior and middle managers who are held responsible for the CI/OPEX journey. We covered the fundamentals of lean, theory of constraints, six sigma, and how those tools will improve team performance.

The workshop was attended by leaders from 8 different companies including Amazon, Arconic, Chromalloy, Continental, Smith-Midland Corporation, Window Mart Manufacturing, XFAB Texas, Huntington Ingalls Industries and Huntington Ingalls Newport News Shipbuilding.
