TMG specializes in Continuous Process Improvement and accelerating our partners’ journey to consistent near perfect improvement. We are experts in the analysis, design, development, pilot, implementation, and transition of complex Continuous Improvement systems. Our methodology is the industry standard using the best practices and proven principles of Lean Six Sigma to create a common vision of what the answer looks like and then applying resources to objectives over time to accomplish goals in a dynamic, complex operational environment. Our team currently features Lean Six Sigma Black Belts trained and certified by the U.S. Navy Sea Systems Command’s Lean Six Sigma College in Norfolk, Virginia, General Electric’s Six Sigma University and Alcoa Lean Academy.
In 2009, BAE Systems Ship Repair in Norfolk, VA decided to adopt Lean Six Sigma as their Performance Improvement Tool Set. After an extensive analysis and design period, TMG helped establish the BAE Systems Performance Excellence Program to attack this problem by applying the Lean Six Sigma methodology of Waste Elimination and Continuous Process Improvement to achieve the goal to provide more maintenance for the US Navy. The Performance Excellence Program consisted of Performance Improvement events including Leader Development Programs, Eight for Eight Productivity Training, Contract Essentials Training, Coaching, Safety and Environmental Training, Electronic Production Scorecards, Leader Development Program, Ship Availability Planning Workshops, Personnel Qualification System, Eight for Eight Productivity Workshops, Safety and Environmental Training, and Electronic Production Scorecards.
TMG also assisted in the development of Continuous Improvement practices such as Event Planning and Facilitation, Firewatch Training System Development and Implementation, Material Transportation Rapid Improvement Events, Enterprise Value Stream Analysis, Lean Six Sigma Training for Yellow, Green and Black Belts, Employed Temporary Services RIE, Job Planning and Setup, as well as the implementation of their Five S Program.
Benefits & Value
TMG’s services were essential to the success of BAE Systems’ Performance Excellence Program by facilitating the implementation of a Continuous Process Improvement system that allowed the business to streamline their operations, elevate production standards, and realize a true return on investment.
